Officer Jermaine Galloway
Officer Jermaine Galloway is a nationally and internationally recognized presenter. Galloway is a national expert in alcohol and drug trends and is a resource for those involved with prevention, education and enforcement. Officer Galloway began his Idaho law enforcement career in 1997 and has more than 20 years of experience in alcohol and drug education, enforcement, and prevention. Officer Galloway will provide a high energy and highly educational session on current youth and drug trends.
On February 14th, 2018, disaster struck Max’s family. His son Alex was one of 17 children and teachers murdered during the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School massacre. Since then, Max has been the preeminent force behind championing policy change at the highest levels of the United States government to improve school safety and security across America. His relentless advocacy and personal mission to make schools safe for children culminated in his founding of the Safe Schools for Alex foundation. His foundation's mission is to provide parents, students, school districts and legislators the most current school safety best practices, resources, and tools to create safe schools nationally through its access to subject matter experts and apolitical advocacy to ensure all children learn in safe, healthy and supportive school environments. Max is bringing tangible change and providing a roadmap to protect children in their schools as he partners and consults with school districts and law enforcement agencies to evaluate and improve their existing safety solutions.
Max's passion, relentless drive, and unique technical knowledge powers his friendly and collaborative problem-solving approach that accelerated his nomination and participation on local, state, and national committees that address school safety issues. Max is committed to bringing common sense solutions to improving school safety, with his single mission of leading a national clearinghouse that drives school safety best practices across the United States.
Sgt. Rudy Perez has been working for the Los Angeles School Police Department for 15 years. Rudy has been a speaker on school safety, threat assessments, gangs, anti-bullying programs, conflict resolution in the workplace, and is a tactical communication instructor across the country. Sgt. Perez is also one of the founders of Friends of Safe Schools United States of America, a non-profit charity that supports the efforts of safety and education in schools around the country.
